Founded in 1920 by Robert Blaylock as a shoe repair business, Blaylocks has developed in to one of the leading independent shoe retailers in the south of England,
offering an extensive range of men's, ladies' and children's footwear.
Originally sited in the Gorse Hill area of Swindon the business moved to Old Town in 1928. Arthur Blaylock joined the company in 1949 to help his father
whose health was failing and the business is now run by Arthur's son David and his son Mark thus establishing a line of continuity through 4 generations.
With staff that have accumulated over 100 years experience of selling shoes Blaylocks pride themselves on being able to offer knowledgeable
and friendly personal service.
David Blaylock says, "Our success is due to being able to offer our customers personal service and a selection of shoes which you don't find in the average High Street shop."
